Museums: Archaelogical Museum of territory

Placed inside Rocca Ariostesca, Archaelogical Museum of Garfagnana territory presents archaeological finds from Serchio High Valley. It consists of two separate exhibitions: Mesolithic section, opened in 1980, discusses the results of research and archaeological excavations that have affected this time of Stone Age. The section dedicated to Liguri Apuani, opened in 1984, presents the finds of Ligurian settlements, illustrating the uses and customs of the Ligurian peoples who inhabited Garfagnana during 3rd and 2nd centuries BC, until the conquest by Romans.


Timetable:
October 1st - May 31st:
Thu, Sat, Sun & holidays hours 9.30-12.30 and 15.30-18.30
June 1st - September 30th:
From Monday to Friday 10.30-12.30 and 16.00-19.00
Saturday, Sunday & holidays 9.30-13.00 and 15.00-19.00

Evening openings will be made also with 21.00-24.00 hours during the Week of Commerce(13-25 August 2013)

Other openings can be "on call" at least two days notice, for groups and schools.
