The Sanctuary of the Madonna del Soccorso is located 2 Km far from Minucciano on a pass that was once a place of passage for those who wanted to reach Pieve San Lorenzo and the Lunigiana, descending from the Garfagnana. The hermitage is still inhabited today by a small community of Augustinian hermits.

The current sanctuary, which dates back to the 18th century, replaces an older hermitage built between the 15th and 16th centuries, near a small chapel object of veneration by the population.

You enter the church and the hermitage passing through a loggia with four barrel vaults with a small garden adorned with a fountain. There are four cells where the hermits live and a guesthouse for people on a spiritual retreat.

In the square in front of the Sanctuary, the small park of the Statue Steli exhibits copies of the specimens of these mysterious menhirs by the Apuan Ligurians, found during the construction of the road below. The originals are found in the Museum of the Stele Statues of the Piagnaro Castle in Pontremoli, together with many others found in Lunigiana.
