The valley is characterized by a particular wealth of waterways that make it a paradise for all fishing lovers. Along the Serchio River and its tributaries, as well as in numerous artificial lakes it is possible to fish by combining a passion for this sport to the desire to spend whole days in contact with uncontaminated nature.  The lakes of Vagli and Isola Santa are specific regulation fishing areas while in the lakes of Gramolazzo and Pontecosi fishing is regulated by a regional permit.

The fishing license is not required for fishing practice inside the “paid fishing lakes” where the most sought-after prey is certainly represented by the “fario” trout.
